Grown at 1,800 meters in the mountains of Huila, this coffee comes from La Piragua, a family-run farm led by Arley Vargas alongside his father, Alexander. The farm serves not only the Vargas family but also neighboring producers, acting as a central processing hub for the local community. Women play a key role in hand-selecting cherries, making this coffee an important source of livelihood in the region.
In the cup, expect a juicy, fruit-driven profile bursting with notes of strawberry, passionfruit and bubblegum. The anaerobic natural process amplifies sweetness and aromatic intensity, creating a juicy, candy-like character with a plush mouthfeel while maintaining a clean, expressive finish. Thoughtful fermentation and meticulous processing bring both depth and clarity, resulting in a bold yet balanced cup.
