About this coffee: Sourced through our longtime partners Balzac Brothers and Transcafe, Ixlama represents the work of ~120 smallholder families in Huehuetenango, Guatemala near the Mexico border. Many of these producers are of Mayan descent, farming at elevations of 1,524–1,830 masl.

This lot is a 50/50 mix of Bourbon and Caturra, shade-grown and meticulously processed at Transcafe’s mill in Todos Santos. After sun-drying and finishing in traditional guardiolas, the coffee is sorted by color and density to ensure consistency year after year.

Expect a clean, bright, and well-structured cup that reflects both the rugged Huehuetenango terroir and the heritage of the communities who produce it.

What’s in the cup? We taste brown sugar and plum with a soft and sweet finish! This is a classic cup with mild fruited aspects. It's truly built to be your everyday coffee and is quite versatile for really any brew method you prefer!
